Following up from the last Eco Feelings workshop, where we explored our backyard ecologies, this session will focus more on our immediate neighbourhood:

How do we know where we are?
Google Maps can help us with this, but does it know:

  • Where the Honeyeaters nest?
  • Where the Rakali hunts at night?
  • Where the roots of the Fig tree feel into an underground stream?
  • What is flowering when the Willy Wagtail begins singing at night?

How would we navigate the living world that grew us without streets, signposts or artificial intelligence?
Perhaps more importantly: What would that feel like as a way of being in the world?

We have always relied on each other to navigate the local information coming to us through the seasons, the birdsong, the plant life that is emerging green from the earth. Sharing experience and story to sustain connection and learn.

For this session we’ll explore the ways we have retained, and feel into new ways to weave ourselves back into relation.

All welcome
