Coordinator, Port Environment Centre

Salary : $72K p.a. (FTE) + superannuation; 0.6 position, 12-month contract to 30/06/2020; two month probation period. 

We are seeking a facilitative leader to successfully establish the new Port Environment Centre, in collaboration with the local community and organisations.

The Coordinator exercises initiative, in response to community and environment needs, and connects to a wide range of environmental issues and organisations.

The Coordinator has responsibility for the effective and efficient management of the Centre, the recruitment, engagement and development of volunteers and the development and promotion of the Centre’s activities, events and resources.

The Coordinator works collaboratively with the Centre’s Advisory Committee, its stakeholders and community.

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Experience working collaboratively with community organisations and community members
  • Office management and project management skills
  • Demonstrated experience in working with customers and volunteers
  • Planning and time management skills
  • Sound communication and relationship building skills
