Project Officer, Port Environment Centre

Salary : $63,681 p.a. (FTE) + superannuation;

Part time: 9 hours per week contract to 9/9/21; two month probation period. 

The Port Environment Centre is recruiting to employ a Project Officer for a community engagement project in collaboration with the City of Port Adelaide Enfield.

The Project Officer will engage new residents in the Port Adelaide area; those who have moved into the community more recently, especially those living in apartments or within the local workforce.

The Project Officer will first undertake social research, in conjunction with Council staff, to determine suitable engagement approaches and techniques. A subsequent program of activities will then be offered to suit the target audience. Activities will focus on creating community connections between new residents, local groups and the environment, in order to increase awareness, build capacity and facilitate action towards positive environmental outcomes.

Special Requirements:

  • Weekend work will be required.
  • PEC will require the preferred applicant to have a DHS Working With Children Check prior to
    commencement.
